This was the third house that I designed for this client. Recently widowed, my client was inspired by the private social clubs in London that he stays in when traveling for business. He loves their traditional comfort, “sink into furniture” and stately sophisticated timeless presence with lots of books and art. He asked me to create that same feel for him in this house.
