Old Salt English Cottage

This client wanted an authentic English cottage by the sea. Built on the rocks of Cape Neddick, Maine, my goal was to make this house look like it had been there for a hundred years while still feeling fresh and current. I used local artisans to create hand-painted tiles, trompe l’oeil, new custom antique reproduction furniture as well as authentic antiques to fit the spaces perfectly; to blend the old and new together seamlessly. Note the cookbook that fell on the on the salvaged antique chestnut floor in the kitchen!
