Little Wabasso Island

How do you take a very dated 80’s tropical raised ranch home on the intercoastal waterway and turn it into a special West Indies influenced modern getaway? Take down walls, rip out the spiral staircase and dated tile floors and replace them with a modern open kitchen, custom staircase and dark sapele wood floors to start. Then we reconfigured the master suite and gave this whole house a facelift. My favorite feature of this house renovation is the glass backed upper kitchen cabinets overlooking the 300-year old Live Oak trees. If you’re lucky you will see a pod of manatees or dolphin swimming by. Or perhaps you’ll spot an otter or a pelican diving for dinner.
