The Barn at Windacre is a 40 x 80 brand new dining barn built on a very special property overlooking Boon Island. It is the perfect space for big family gatherings. The interior walls, ceiling, beams and doors are made from reclaimed antique barn wood. We designed custom lighting for the interior: The sconces that line the walls are fabricated from antique blocks and tackle hung like pieces of sculpture off of their hooks on custom steel hangers illuminated with LED spot lights. We put the chef's kitchen along the back of the barn so that can be closed off for catered events by the two sets of huge sliding barn doors that flank the sides of the 24 floor high stone Rumford fireplace. Inside the kitchen there is a reclaimed soapstone sink from a local church rectory and a pizza oven on the back side of the fireplace.
